Premier Lodge Hotels ::

Details
Pictured is one of the newly completed Premier Lodge Hotels, displaying the fresh, quality image sought by Scottish and Newcastle after their acquisition of the hotel group from Greenall Whitley. In this competitive sector of the market S&N have set their sights high. All-new interior decor, pleasantly comfortable surroundings and value for money are the key ingredients in the success of the new lodges. The control of costs has to sit comfortably with the chief goal of customer satisfaction when attracting visitors whilst remaining competitive. Prefect Controls were invited to work with the architect, with the brief to navigate the tricky path between these two distinct needs.

Room heating was by electric panel convectors, so the team selected the versatile PRE4000 series central control system. Specially designed electronic receiver modules in each bedroom pick up signals from the controller sited at reception. As the system uses the existing mains wiring to communicate around the building installation could not be easier. No more than 20 minutes per room. The system has proved itself in nearly 10 new lodges, keeping rooms at just the right temperature. It is pre-set to an upper limit - anywhere up to 30ºC when the guest books in, it also prevents the room getting that musty, damp feeling when unoccupied, by maintaining a lower temperature - between 5'C and 19'C. The PRE4000 goes on monitoring to ensure the guest is perfectly comfortable until check-out. This simple and effective system can be applied easily to wet systems by using the Prefect PRE9500 thermal radiator valve. You can see why the Prefect system has proved a winner in hotels all over the UK.
