Story

The Chy an Albany Hotel was originally built as three Edwardian houses for local Sea Captains, and wasn’t converted into a hotel until the 1920s. The current owners have tastefully refurbished the entire building, in sympathy with its historic origins.

With guest satisfaction being a priority for the management team, it was recognised that the hotel was in need of an accurate, easy to use heating control. This system would need to instantly satisfy guest demands, while enabling management to react swiftly to changes in seasonal heating needs.

Prefect Controls’ experience in the hotel and residential sectors provided a useful insight here, as well as a clear understanding of operators’ needs to manage cost. The PRE2000 central control system was the solution as it would provide the levels of control required, while avoiding excess cost.

As the system could be integrated seamlessly with the hotel’s existing computerised management system, the installation process was swift and instantly effective. Not only can the system create comfortable temperatures for existing guests, but warm rooms up in anticipation of guests checking in!
